Weld Cladding

Weld Cladding is one welding process of overlaying material with excellent performance onto the surface of other materials with poor properties of corrosion and abrasion resistance.

This technique mainly serves oil and gas, nuclear power, coal chemical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, liquefied natural gas industry (for example, valves, shale gas, wellhead, deep sea, underwater equipment, etc.).From the beginning of the repair of the north sea oil field in the 1980s, surfacing has been recognized as a mature technology abroad. As mining conditions become more and more severe, the current oil and gas exploration needs cladding. There are several characteristics for it.

 Decrease cost-It is a combination of expensive good performance material and ordinary material. The often used format is carbon steel mother material cladded by stainless steel or nickle alloy. The cost would be much lower than completely stainless steel or nickle alloy.

 Prolong service life-Compared with the one with ordinary material, the cladding material would protect the position vulnerable to corrosion and abrasion efficiently.

 Reduce the maintenance time and expenses-When the corrosion or abrasion happened, only the cladding positions are needed to maintain. This would avoid changing the whole equipment.
