A 90° long radius elbow cladding is a process where a corrosion-resistant or wear-resistant material is applied to the inner surface of a 90-degree elbow with a long radius bend. This is typically done to extend the service life of the elbow in environments where the fluid or material passing through it is corrosive, abrasive, or causes excessive wear.
Forming Process:
FNS applies advanced automated nickel-based alloy cladding technology to the inner surface of 90° long radius elbows. Using precision-controlled welding processes such as GTAW, PTA, and laser cladding, Alloy 625 is uniformly deposited to enhance the elbow’s resistance to corrosion and high-temperature degradation in aggressive service environments.
Size Range:4″ – 60″ elbows (custom sizes available upon request).
Base Material:
Carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, pipeline-grade steels.
Cladding Material:
Nickel-based Alloy 625 — renowned for its exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, especially in seawater, acidic, and high-temperature environments.
