PRODUCT DETAILS
Flange cladding with ER309LMo + 316L is a specialized process used in industries where flanges require enhanced corrosion resistance, high-temperature performance, and mechanical strength. This combination of materials is particularly suited for applications in aggressive environments, such as chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation.
Forming Process:
FNS utilizes automated precision cladding technologies to apply ER309LMo and 316L stainless steel alloy layers onto the inner bore and sealing surfaces of forged flanges. The process is controlled by advanced welding techniques such as GTAW, PTA, laser cladding, and CMT, ensuring consistency, durability, and optimal metallurgical bonding.
Flange Size Range:
2″– 48″ (custom sizes available upon request)
Base Material for Forged Flanges:
Carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, pipeline-grade steels, and other customized materials.
Cladding Material:
ER309LMo (buffer layer) + 316L stainless steel (corrosion-resistant layer). This dual-layer cladding structure offers a reliable transition from base metal to corrosion-resistant surface, enhancing the flange’s resistance to pitting, intergranular corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.

Flange Cladding (ER309LMo + 316L)
